Nashville Nights hosted by Michael Haney

July 9, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Nashville Nights continues every Friday in July, with Nashville Singer/Songwriters taking our stage hosted by Michael Haney!

BEN CHAPMAN
Originally from LaFayette, Georgia, Ben Chapman is a Nashville-based country artist known for his soulful voice and guitar playing. He is heavily influenced by the sounds of the 70’s, pairing the groove-driven Southern music of bands like the Allman Brothers and Little Feat with the hard-hitting country sounds of Hank Williams, Jr. and the writing prowess of songwriters like Guy Clark and Roger Miller.

Playing in bars across North Georgia since he was 17, Ben has always considered himself to be an old soul in the new age of country music. He has garnered quick attention from seasoned songwriters in Nashville, cutting his teeth at local joints during the week and touring the South East on the weekends. In 2021, he signed a publishing deal with Hang Your Hat Music, a co-venture between ACM Songwriter of the Year, Hillary Lindsey, and Concord Music.

In 2020, he began working in the studio with producer Jake Gear (Hailey Whitters, Flatland Cavalry) to hone his sound that is rooted in the traditions of his influences, but that authentically pushes the country format into the next decade. These sessions resulted in his forthcoming debut LP – Hippie Speedball, set for release in 2021.

MEG MCREE:
Originally from Sugar Hill, GA, Meg McRee is a Nashville based artist and songwriter. Her journey with music began at the age of 5, starting violin lessons after hearing a fiddle on the radio. In addition to playing classical violin in symphony orchestras growing up, she taught herself guitar and sang in church regularly. While attending Vanderbilt University on an academic scholarship, she realized the pull to pursue music further was too strong to ignore.

Meg is passionate about creating fresh sounds and lyric while still honoring the tradition of country music: telling the truth. She is currently working on her debut project and is thrilled to be signing her first publishing deal at Hang Your Hat Music, a co-venture between Hillary Lindsey and Concord Music Publishing.

This is a FREE show. *In the event of inclement weather, shows will be moved indoors, rescheduled or cancelled.
